- Finally, very slowly pour your espresso shot over the top

- Coffee White Russian
We couldn’t put a list of our favourite coffee cocktails together without including a White Russian! This one takes a little bit of prep to infuse the rum and coffee, but it’s so with doing. It’s a great way to get a little extra use out of used coffee grounds, and if you make a nice big batch then you have plenty for next time.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp ground coffee (used not fresh!)
- 250ml rum (dark is best)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (or any liquid sweetener)
- Ice
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 150ml double cream
- 150ml vodka
Method
First, let’s make our coffee-infused rum.
- Add your coffee grounds to a tub or jar.
- Pour in your rum and cover.
- Allow steeping for around 24 hours
- Remove the lid and sieve the coffee-infused rum to remove the grain.
- Stir in your maple syrup
Now for the cocktail.
- Split your coffee rum between four glasses and top with ice
- In a jug mix together your vanilla, cream, and vodka
- Using a spoon resting on top of the ice gently pour in your vodka cream mix. If you pour it into the spoon and let it overflow into the glass then you will get the nice separation you want between the cream mix and the coffee rum
- Serve with a stirrer and enjoy!
- Iced Irish Cold Brew
Another classic for the list you really can't go wrong with an Irish coffee. But when you make it an iced Irish cold brew then you’re in for an absolute winner.
Ingredients
- 25ml Whiskey
- 1 tsp ground coffee
- 2 tsp demerara sugar
- 90ml cold brew coffee
- 2 tsp hot water
- Double cream
- Ice
Method
- In a bowl mix the ground coffee and whiskey and then leave to infuse for 15 minutes
- Sieve the coffee-infused whiskey to remove any grounds
- Mix the hot water and the sugar until all the sugar has dissolved
- Add the coffee whiskey, sugar water, cold brew coffee, and ice to a cocktail shaker and give it all a good shake
- Sieve it out into a collins glass
- Top it all off with a splash of double cream
- Enjoy
- Carajillo
This is a beautiful Mexican cocktail that is so simple yet so delicious. If you’ve not tried Licor 43 before then you are going to be blown away with just how well it pairs with coffee.
Licor 43 is a sweet rich liqueur with notes of vanilla and citrus as well as a lovely chocolate undertone.
Ingredients
- 25ml Licor 43
- 1 espresso shot
- Ice
Method
- Add your ice and Licor 43 to a glass and stir
- Using a spoon to control the flow, slowly pour in your espresso. This will give you a lovely bit of separation between the Licor and coffee (nothing like a bit of showing off with your presentation!)
- Stir and enjoy!
We hope you enjoy these as much as we do.
