Did you know our Nespresso compatible coffee capsules are 100% recyclable?

For us, it's important to make sure we provide convenient yet sustainable options for our coffee drinkers. However, we also want to make sure that everyone knows just how to recycle their pods and make the best choices for the environment.

We use aluminium for our pods to ensure the freshest cup of quality coffee every time. Aluminium provides the best protection against oxygen, light and humidity, which has been proved to be the key factors to preserve the delicious taste of coffee that we love so much. Making sustainable coffee choices? Don't forget to consider caffeine levels. Our 'How Much Caffeine is in Coffee' article sheds light on this important aspect.

But that’s just the start of it... Did you know:

  • 86% of the carbon footprint of aluminium occurs between mining and production.
  • Aluminium requires up to 95% less energy to recycle than to produce primary metals.
  • Aluminium is 100% and infinitely recyclable, so it keeps its inherent properties no matter how many times it's recycled.

So how do you make sure your pods are recycled properly?

In just a few steps you can make sure your coffee pods are being recycled correctly, preventing them from ending up in the landfill. Picking the right coffee matters for taste and the planet. See how this affects Flat Whites and Lattes in our simple 'Flat White Vs Latte' comparison.

Once you've made your perfect brew, simply remove the remaining aluminium pod from the waste section of your Nespresso machine and scrape out the coffee. Put this coffee in the compost, rinse the pod and pop it in the recycling. It's that simple!
